One Paris address, three beauty métiers
Guerlain began with creams, makeup and fragrance under one roof. That unusually broad starting point still offers a useful way into the House: choose the ritual you want to explore, then consider the product within that step.
More than a perfume beginning
At 42 rue de Rivoli, Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain opened the first Guerlain boutique in 1828. The assortment already crossed categories: creams, makeup and fragrances were all part of the original idea.
That matters because the House is often encountered through a single icon. Its longer story is broader—fragrance composition, skincare texture, makeup color and the objects that hold them have developed alongside one another.
Across five generations of Guerlain perfumers, the House carried forward a Parisian language of beauty while continuing to work with specialist French craft. Tradition here is less a fixed look than a method: preserve the skill, then keep creating.
Start with the ritual, not the hype
These three current CosmoFactor selections do different jobs. Compare them by where they belong: finishing makeup, the treatment step in a skincare routine, or a fragrance wardrobe.
