Alessi Moka 3-Cup Espresso Coffee Maker, Black Handle

The Alessi Moka 3-Cup is a stovetop espresso maker designed by Alessandro Mendini as a tribute to his grandfather Alfonso Bialetti, who invented the original Moka Express. It reimagines the classic octagonal moka pot with soft, undulating curves in mirror-polished cast aluminum, topped with a contemporary heat-resistant black thermoplastic handle and knob. It brews about 150 ml, enough for three traditional Italian espressos: water boils in the base and steam pressure pushes it up through the ground coffee into the upper chamber. It works on gas, electric, ceramic, and halogen cooktops (induction needs an adapter plate). About 16.4 cm tall; hand wash only, made by Alessi.

How to Use:

Fill the base with water, add ground coffee to the filter, and heat on the stovetop until it brews up. Hand wash with warm water only; avoid the dishwasher.
