The Faber-Castell Goldfaber Color Pencils tin of 48 is the full color range of the brand's permanent, wax-based studio line, made in Germany. The 3.3 mm wax core is highly pigmented for a soft, intense, creamy laydown with excellent coverage, and SV bonding glues the lead along the whole barrel for strong break resistance even if dropped. The pencils are permanent and water-resistant, so they will not smudge or dissolve under washes, perfect for crisp mixed-media work, and finely ground pigments give good lightfastness so artwork resists fading. The 48-tin includes the complete spectrum of skin tones, landscape hues, and gold and silver metallics. Built with FSC-certified wood and a non-toxic water-based finish. Sits between entry-level and pro Polychromos.
